Privacy Policy

HireLedger is designed with privacy at its core. Your job data lives on your device — never uploaded, shared, or sold.

1. Application Data

The desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) stores all data locally on your device. We have no access to your applications, notes, contacts, or files. Optional cloud backups are encrypted client-side before upload — only you can decrypt them.

2. Analytics

Analytics are fully optional inside the app. If you enable them, we use PostHog in self-hosted or anonymized mode to collect basic, non-personal usage events (like which features are used most). No personal data, job content, or file names are ever tracked.

3. Website Analytics

The website uses Plausible Analytics for anonymous, privacy-respecting traffic measurement. Plausible does not use cookies or collect personal identifiers such as IP addresses. All stats are aggregated and cannot be traced to individuals.

4. Purchases

Purchases and license validation are handled by Gumroad. We never receive or store your payment information. Gumroad’s own Privacy Policy applies to all transactions.

5. Your Rights

You can request deletion of any optional analytics data by contacting us at support@hireledger.app. Because local data is stored entirely on your machine, you may delete it anytime by removing the app’s data folder.
